WTF Fashion King?!

The train wreck that was Fashion King has ended, and it appropriately did so in a giant ball of flame. Nothing made sense, plots were tied together sloppily (if tied together at all), and 20 hours of my life that I'll never get back have fizzled into nothingness.

I would do my typical Series Finale write up, but what's the point? This series sucked so bad that it's not even worth it. I had so many comments about the drama that I'm sure will take up several libraries, but let's face it, Fashion King is hardly worth any keystrokes.

Fashion King Meets Fashion

Within the last three issues of High Cut Magazine, both of our Fashion King male leads have graced the covers and pages.

Volume 76 has Lee Je-Hoon gracing the cover, and Volume 74 has Yoo Ah-In sharing the cover. Behind the scenes videos show some shots that weren't posted in the magazine, too.

When Dramas Get Canceled

It's something that happens from time to time. Not every show can make the cut. This happens to shows all over the world that end due to ratings or networks or a myriad of reasons.

KPOP: The Ultimate Audition Poster

It seems to bother me a bit more in kdramas, and I think it's because the format of kdramas are completely different from American TV.

Fashion King Mid-Season Check In

The title of this post is a tad bit misleading. Yes, Fashion King is technically halfway through its 20 episodes, but in no way, shape, or form have I personally watched that many.

Maybe it would help if I found anything about this series remotely believable.

Back from Spring Break!

Although my spring break didn't consist of beaches and martinis, it was a welcome, albeit busy, break.

It was also busy in the kdrama world, as several dramas ended and began at the end of March/beginning of April. I watched the series finales of Operation Proposal, Dream High 2, and the Shut Up Flower Boy Band Behind the Scenes Special.

Then I jumped head first into the next batch: The King 2 Hearts, Rooftop Prince, Man of Equator, Fashion King, Standby, and Love Rain. If only I knew how to swim...!

Not to be outdone by what's current, I re-watched Goong, Playful Kiss, and Playful Kiss Youtube version; finished up Unstoppable High Kick; and started Return of Iljimae.

Now, several of these shows are misses, and I haven't kept up with them. At the same time, several of these shows are hits but are not recapable by me due to language barriers. But some mid-series updates are definitely in order!

I'm excited to get back into the swing of things!

What's New This Week

This is a great week for dramas. We have the series finales of Shut Up Flower Boy Band (awesome) and Dream High 2 (lackluster), and the premier of several new dramas that have been buzzing all across the web. I can hardly keep up!
