Little Women Series Review

Little Women is one of those dramas that is excellent yet somehow misses the mark at the same time. You really need to see it to understand, but I will explain.

First, the cinematography is beautiful. There are so many scenes where the framing and the juxtaposition of the actors, background, etc, are just perfection. I think this is what really draws viewers in and makes you want to watch the drama regardless of what it's about. There are few shows that excel at cinematography, and this is one of them.

First Thoughts: Ghost Doctor

The premise of Ghost Doctor seems pretty simple: there's a doctor who is a ghost and engages in ghost shenanigans. And to be honest, I think that describes the first two episodes pretty well. It's been a while since I've seen a "check your brain at the door" drama that you don't have to think too hard about. Right now, it's pretty clear who most of the villains are, we see that our male leads have their own arrogance and hidden weaknesses, and each has a female lead to complete the square.

And let's be real. Most of us are watching for the eye candy and not the plot!

Thoughts of the Week

To be honest, no kdrama is really thrilling me right now. Maybe it's because we're headed toward the end of the year with tons of award show preemptions to come. Maybe filming during a pandemic is too much. Maybe I just have bad taste in dramas, haha!

I'm an episode or so behind on most of what I'm watching, but the catch-up binge will come soon!

Thoughts of the Week

So I'd been thinking that I was putting too many thoughts in my "Thoughts of the Week," and I decided to limit the number of dramas that I put in each post. But then time goes by so quickly that the thoughts that I had never get posted because I feel too much time has passed. Or the surely profound and groundbreaking feedback that I had (lol) gets forgotten by the time I sit down to write. Then I look back at the notes I wrote about the dramas that totally make sense and try to make a post out of them (spoiler: they don't make any sense).

For now, please bear with these scrambled thoughts. (Bonus points for binge watching with a fever, so some thoughts may be nonsensical.) In the future, I'm just going to write what I'm thinking roughly when I think it. This post has some classics here like Bride of the Century, Splash Splash Love, and Because This Is My First Life in addition to some more recent fun like Yumi's Cells, Dali and Gamjatang, and You Raise Me Up.
