Thoughts of the Week

So I'd been thinking that I was putting too many thoughts in my "Thoughts of the Week," and I decided to limit the number of dramas that I put in each post. But then time goes by so quickly that the thoughts that I had never get posted because I feel too much time has passed. Or the surely profound and groundbreaking feedback that I had (lol) gets forgotten by the time I sit down to write. Then I look back at the notes I wrote about the dramas that totally make sense and try to make a post out of them (spoiler: they don't make any sense).

For now, please bear with these scrambled thoughts. (Bonus points for binge watching with a fever, so some thoughts may be nonsensical.) In the future, I'm just going to write what I'm thinking roughly when I think it. This post has some classics here like Bride of the Century, Splash Splash Love, and Because This Is My First Life in addition to some more recent fun like Yumi's Cells, Dali and Gamjatang, and You Raise Me Up.

You Raise Me Up Mid-Series Review

When you see that Yoon Shi-Yoon is headlining a drama, you watch the drama. You Raise Me Up (유 레이즈 미 업 ) is a short, eight-episode rom-com that centers on a young man who can't *ahem* raise up and the woman who treats his um, shortcomings.

You Raise Me Up Promo Poster
You must watch the intro because there are images of shriveled up objects and items blooming that will surely make you lol. There's also an alternative promo poster with a shrimp in a downward and erect position! Can't help but love a show that makes fun of itself. (This is a mid-series review up through episode four. Spoilers, of course.)

Thoughts of the Week

I've officially become *that* viewer. You know, the one who sides with Elsa over Anna. (No, young lady, you cannot marry the random man you just met!) The once optimistic Spongebob has turned into the cynical Squidward.

Thoughts of the Week

This has been a pretty slow week for me as far as watching kdramas goes. It's been a while since I've followed a bunch of shows that are currently airing, so it's hard to transition from binge watching an entire series to just watching 1 or 2 episodes a week.

Backstreet Rookie DVD Cover

I've been binging last year's Backstreet Rookie in between the following airing shows: Monthly Magazine Home, The Great Shaman Ga Doo Shim, and Blue Birthday. I also marathon watched a jdrama for the first time in a long time.

Thoughts of the Week

During this latest absence, I went on a kdrama binge. There was a point where I was only finishing about half an episode a week, but lately I've been finishing a series in two or three days!

On the lookout for my next kdrama. What should I pick? In the meantime, read on to see my thoughts on everything I've watched.
